SEO Copywriting

A good SEO copywriter needs to be constantly aware that the search engines are mostly “reading” text, keyword densities, text links, titled pictures, graphs, diagrams, etc. via software programs that use a number of Algorithms (mathematical formulas) to determine page rank.

SEO copywriting is not simply putting key search terms on a page, but the placement of text, amount of text, naming the URLs, files, H1,H2 titles, avoiding “spamming”, duplicate content, etc..

A good SEO copywriter needs to be constantly aware that the search engines are mostly “reading” text, keyword densities, text links, titled pictures, graphs, diagrams, etc. via software programs that use a number of Algorithms (mathematical formulas) to determine page rank. Knowing these criteria is the first order of business for seo copywriting.

Although algorithms change (and sometimes dramatically as the fairly  recent major requirement that sites be mobile friendly), the basics are generally standard. They reflect the logical protocols that enable the search engines to electronically find and evaluate web pages. Do so determines the relative position on the search engine’s results pages  (SERPs).

Because billions of web pages exist, the most efficient and common method of doing this is via electronic scanning with very sophisticated algorithms.

SEO copywriting is not simply putting key search terms on a page, but the placement of text, amount of text, naming the URLs, files, H1,H2 titles, avoiding “spamming”, duplicate content, etc..Web pages need to be written for both the user (page visitor) and the search engines, however, in most all cases there should be no conflict between what is written for the user and what is there for the search engines.

Text should be written in such a fluid manner that the visitor (the most important person) is given the information they are looking for in an easily readable format. Text links to additional sources, can make the page even more informative (i.e “Rich and Relevant”)

When a webpage supplies exactly what the user is looking for in their use of a specific search term, it is also great for the search engines to give that page a higher organic placement on their results pages.
